Artist Statement
I am in the process of rethinking my art, why I do it, what I do, what it is about. This is a journey that I have in common with all artists so I think it will be of interest to lots of creative sorts. With this in mind, I am not ready to make a formal artist statement. What I can truthfully say is that I love my life and I have a need to share it. Sometimes that involves making a painting or a drawing. Maybe a sculpture. Or it might mean helping a friend or spending time with a neighbour. Critically, I need to spend time with my cattle who make me feel connected to the earth and my heritage.
The life of an artist is not just on paper or canvas. It is not something tangible...it is living.
